We have a very active Sunday School program with more than 130 students and 18 teachers. The aim of the Sunday School is to give our children a foundation in Catholic Church’s teachings. This includes prayers, sacraments, scriptures, Catholic Church’s traditions, teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and an understanding of the different rites within the Catholic Church. Special classes are conducted for preparing the children for the sacraments of first Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Currently, pre-school to 10th grade classes are offered. We have appropriate text books designed and approved by the Syro-Malabar Church for each grade. We conduct class quizzes and annual tests. The class timing is from 10 AM to 11:15 AM on Sundays. The Sunday School children attend the English Mass after the class. There is an annual picnic for the children organized by the teachers and also an annual day where prizes for the best attendance and best scores in annual tests are distributed. Sunday School children read the scriptures for the Mass as well as serve as altar boys.

Following teachers volunteer to teach the Sunday School. The community greatly appreciates their dedication and service.
